To My Sweet Baby Chandler....

Happy 1st Birthday to my sweet baby boy. How can you possibly be a year old? Where has time gone? I know how many years my heart yearned for you in my life, but I had forgot how fast you would grow.

The journey started many years ago, I would say when Devon was about four years old. I wanted another child so bad, but at the time in our life we knew we could not take on another child so we gave it a couple more years, and then a more years past. We decided that we could not have you, then my mid-wife told me I need to see Dr. Thatcher in Johnson City, TN if we really wanted to have another child, he is a endocrinologist. So Daddy and Mommy went for a visit, and Mommy found out that she has a condition called PCOS, but Dr. Thatcher told Mommy he thought he could help with medicine. Time passed and before I knew it I was prego with you. We were so happy, Devon was so excited that he was going to be a big brother. We bought him a shirt to spread the news to all the family Christmas of '07. The family could not believe it because really none of them knew we where even trying for a little one.

Then you where born, July 29 2008. What a great day it was and how happy you made us that day and always will. It's amazing to watch you grow and learn so much. It's amazing to see the bond between you and Devon growing each day. I know you are 9 years and a couple weeks apart, but I know there is love there. The brotherly love that I hope you can always share.

Thank you Chandler for being part of our life. We would not trade one moment with out you.We wish for you the best in life, to always be happy in everything that you do.

marks a very special day, a day I wondered if I would ever see. A day that I am very thankful for, but a day that makes me sad because I can't believe it is already here. What day is it? Well tune in tomorrow and I will give you the whole story.

Ready for a Vacation

I am ready to step away from the real world. The world where I am getting up at 5:45, taking the kids where they go, going to work, packing lunches and all the house work on the side.

Can you tell I have not had a vacation in a while? Our last vacation that we took was back in July, 2007. We went to the beach and had a great week. We knew we would be busy after that week, but had no idea what God hand in store for us. We had just sold our house and the week after we come back we where signing the paper work and moving in with family. We will moved, found out I was prego, moved into the new house, and had Chandler. We did not take a vacation last year since Chandler was going to be born the end of July first of August and I would need what time I had saved up for maternity leave. He came the end of July and so I guess you can say staying home with him was my vacation.

Well this year we have planned a special vacation for Devon, we feel like we owe it to him for not getting to go on vacation. I mean come on though, he got a baby brother what more could he want? ;0)

We are going to Disney World in October, we are hoping by then the temperature in Florida will be cooler the crowds will be less and we can enjoy ourselves. Anyone been this time of year? Any tips that you might have, I would love to hear.

Where have I been?

visited 11 states (22%)
Create your own visited map of The United States

Guess it's safe to say, I don't get out much. The main reason that I have seen the 11 states that I have seen, is b/c it was to go visit family. My uncle lives in MI and then sister in law lives in FL. Guess you can count stopping for food, bathrooms and gas as visiting those states. Right?

Oh yea and how can I forget the time I went to NY a few years back. I went with my mom-in-law and two sister-in-laws for a long "girls weekend".

My faith is stronger than its been in a long time, I feel that God has put me just where he wants me in my life. I know all things are possible, only with God though. I stress way to easy about things and let little things bother me way to much. I am learning to let things go and enjoy my life and my family. To put my family and God first! No matter who likes it, its not up to anyone to judge me or my family on what we do or don't do. One day I will meet my maker he will be the one that will judge me.

There have been times in my life where I just really wanted to know why God put me on this earth, I felt like everything I did was never good enough for anyone. I have come to peace here lately with lots of things, I am the one that has to wake up every day and look in that mirror and ask myself am I happy with where I am today in my life. To be honest yes, I have the family, home and everything I could have ever dreamed of. As a young couple starting out we have worked our butts off to get where we are today, not one person can say that if it was not for us they would not be where they are today.

I am at peace with all that has happened in my life, it might not make everyone happy with the choices that I have made, but so be it. I am not here living my life for others and I am not here to please anyone but myself and God. I will live my life to God's will and know that he will guide me along the way.

Over the next few weeks I want to share with you the people in my life that are very special to me. I look back now in my life God put these people in my life for a reason.

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. I know I did, we enjoyed it with family camping trip. We have really used our camper the past month or so. We have been camping for the past three weekends. We just love it, and love spending time with family and friends.

However, I am ready to spend the next month at home doing some much needed things and celebrating birthdays this month. As it seems like July is the birthday month for our family. My brothers, husband, and two boys birthdays are all in July. Can we say Cindy will be broke this month. ;) The month of July will be gone before I know it and Devon will be back in school in 5th grade. :(

We still have a couple more camping trips planned and a trip to Pigeon Forge, TN at the end of July. We will not be going on a week vacation this summer, we are waiting until October for our family vacation. We are going to Disney World, and I can't wait!

I hope everyone enjoys their summer!
