Did you read that right? Yes, you can say that winter is here in the mountains of NC and it's only October. The kids were out of school for the first time this year on Tuesday. Too it was Chandler's first snow!
They say we are in for a bad winter, we will see. Let's just say I am ready for a good old fashion snow like we use to have when I was small.

Soccer
Soccer season is finally over here in the high country of NC. Which I am happy about, don't get me wrong I love to watch him play but it's getting much to cold to sit out and watch. Devon played his first year and enjoyed it very much. On Monday he had his banquet with his team, they received their medals and certificate. Devon please know that Mom and Dad are very proud of you!!

Time...
As I start this blog I think about time and how I never seem to have enough. I could use a couple more hours of sleep, a couple more in the evening when I get home to do the things I can't seem to never get done. Most of all I would like to have more time to enjoy and really soak in every moment that I have with my kids and husband.
I want to start this blog so that I can look back and see what things have happened in my life and be able to remember them. It seems like just yesterday that my oldest son Devon was born and now he is 9 years old. Now that we have a new member in the family I am finding out that I think that I slept through the years of Devon being a baby and even a toddler. I can only remember certain things, I see pictures of him and think... I don't remember that. Even my husband says that he does not remember. I am not sure if it was because we had Devon so early in our lives or if this is the norm with having kids. Either way I vow to try to take in more with both my boys and my husband and live each day to the fullest.
