Has Spring Sprung?

My husband thinks that it has at least. Let me tell you a little bit about my husband. One thing about Brad is that if he is going to do something it's going to be done right the first time. He loves to have the yard just perfect, don't get me wrong, I love to work in the flower beds. Brad loves to have a green yard that is just beautiful. All I have heard from him since last mowing season is how he wanted a new lawn mower. Lowes Hardware was having a sale that he could not pass on, he sold our old mower to my brother and made a trip to Lowes. This is what we came home with......

( New Husqvarna Mower)

and this is what he done with it....

It looks like carpet and I just want to take my shoes off and run through it like a little kid. He loved using the mower for the first time. Looks like Spring is really in the air!

Weight In ......

Last night was weigh in at Weight Watchers. I have been sick with the stomach bug so I knew I had lost weight for sure this week. I was just in shock at how much I had lost.

Drum roll..... 5lbs

I am now down a total of 19.8lbs with Weight Watchers and total of 43.4lbs since having Chandler. I am so excited. I am almost at my pre-pregnancy weight and can't wait to get even more off with Weight Watchers.

Thank you Weight Watchers!

Update

My Uncle Eddie did very well through the surgery. They removed about the size of a slice of pie from his stomach. They do believe they got all the cancer. Thank you Lord!

Now on to recovery and keeping the cancer away.

Thank you all for your prayers!

Prayers for Uncle Eddie

My dad called just last week to tell me that my uncle Ed (Eddie, as I would call him) had called. He is my mother’s brother who lives in Benton Harbor, MI. Come to find out it was not a normal call, and he had called to tell us bad news. They had found out that he has stomach cancer.

Today they are going in to remove part of the stomach, and I hope that God will watch over him and guide the doctors. God is so good and wonderful and I know that he hears the many prayers going up for Uncle Eddie and will answer them.

Long as I can remember Eddie has always lived in MI, I can remember him coming down time from time when I was smaller. He would send my brother and I leather bags, etc. that he had made. I can even remember my grandmother going to MI for a visit which was unheard of because she did not go anywhere. I even went to the beach for the first time with him, it was just for one night, but I do remember that trip like it was yesterday. It was the first time I ever heard any one call a drink… Pop. Pop what in the heck was that?? Northern thing, guess he lived to long in the north and forgot that us people in the south call it a drink or soda. ;-)
I really thought he was asking me if I wanted a pop, like to be hit. Now I know that we southerners have our own language.

It was not until I got older that I really got to know my uncle Eddie, he started coming down more to see my grandfather before he passed away. My mother and him have become very close over the past 10 or so years. Even my parents have gone to visit twice. We went with them the second time and had a wonderful time. It is one place that I would like to live if I ever was to leave these mountains of NC. Lake MI is very neat, nothing like I thought that it would be, it was like looking at the ocean. I know my husband and father both enjoyed the fishing that they do up there, it's different from here. My husband told me the other day that we need to go back up there so he could fish with Eddie again; I know my dad would enjoy that again too. Uncle Eddie get better so we can come for a visit! We are sending prayers up for you and we love you!

You are in God’s hands and he will take care of you! We Love You!

Bye Bye Sickness

Winter is on its way out the door. Thank you Lord!!

I just hope you take the sickness with you. I have no problems what so ever with you doing that. :) Can you tell that someone in my household has been sick? Well that someone was me. I had a great evening Friday with hubs and our youngest son. Our older son decided to spend the weekend with my parents, which he enjoys doing from time to time. Well Friday about 12am it hit me..... stomach bug! Oh my! Let's just say I am feeling much better, still weak, taking it easy on what I eat since the tummy is not up to full steam yet.

Spring is here and the weather is slowly warming up here in the mountains of North Carolina. I just hope with the warm weather coming in that the cold weather going out will take away the sickness with it. I am so excited about the warm weather, it will be time to do cook outs, hikes, and picnics. Time to just enjoy having my family and friends. Too maybe get some more of this weight off. ;)

New Weight Watchers Find.....

As most of you know I am doing Weight Watchers for the 3rd and final time in my life. I am going to get rid of the rest of this baby weight.
I have been trying to find different snacks that I can do with Weight Watchers. I was looking at the popcorn at my local grocery store this weekend and trying to decide on what to get. I came across a new product:

Curves Popcorn by General Mills, it's a great snack for the afternoon. I can have the whole bag for 1 point. Now I will tell you it's not the normal big bag of popcorn that you get, it's the smaller size. It is very good, I feel that it was worth the money and worth the 1 point I spent eating it. :-)

Oh no....

I just got off the phone with the dealership. The camper that we were going to buy went though it's inspection this morning. We were to pick it up tomorrow afternoon. The tech that was looking over the camper told the sales lady, something is not right with this camper. He told her to check back after lunch.

The sales lady goes and checks and finds out that the camper had been wrecked and that it's off the frame by 1 1/2 inches and should have been totaled out.

We are now back to the start with finding a camper, which is fine. We will find one in time.

I tell you what though, Tom Johnson Camping Center is the place to go to get a camper. They are upfront and honest about everything. What more could you ask for!

Excited

I am so excited to announce that we are getting a camper!

I grew up camping my whole life, it is something that I love to do. When I was small we had this big green tent we went in. Then we up graded to a pop up, that was the life. Well our family grew, I got married, my brother got married. Everyone wanted to still go camping, so my dad and mom invested in a bigger pop up. It's a nice pop up, and have enjoyed many nights in it. My parents have let us borrow it on several occasions, which I am very great full for. Ever since we got married I have had on my list to buy a camper for my family to enjoy. My husband and I have talked about it, but it never seemed to be the right time. I always pull them up online and look and wish. We finally got my husbands truck paid off and thought why not look at them at least, what is it going to hurt. On Saturday while Devon was as school we went and had a look. We found one at a great price, we go on Friday to pick it up. I can't wait! I can't wait to go and us it either. Spring, it's time for you to come. Cindy wants to go camping. :)

Growing Up

Chandler is now 7 months old and I can't believe it. I was sitting here at work today and seen this picture of him. I can't believe how little he was.

Look at how much he has changed in the last 7 months. Where does time go? :(

The Picture Below....

This picture below is a picture that my husband and 9 year old took of Chandler. He is standing in a pair of Devon's bedroom shoes. ;)

Poor baby, see what he has to go through when mom is still at work. Love it though!

Snow Day!

It's a snow day here in the High Country of NC. Here are some pictures we took yesterday.
