Love these boys....

On Tuesday of last week, I was home enjoying some time with the boys. We had our 2nd snow event and Devon was out of school and I decided I was going to stay home too.
Our new little one Chandler looks just like our older son Devon. I see pictures of Devon at this age and it's is amazing how much they look a like and everyone says to Devon he is your little twin. The only thing that Brad and I can tell that is really different about them is that Chandler's hair is going to be darker. Devon's hair was blond as it could be when he was small.
Any who... Devon and Chandler were dressed a like on Tuesday when we were home. Devon says "Mom you need to take a picture of us boys, we really are twins today.

I love how Devon is such a great big brother to Chandler. I know they have many years between them, but I know Devon would not trade him for nothing now.

New Find...

I was at the store Sunday doing my weekly shopping and I get to the ice cream. I think to myself, here I am doing weight watchers pass on by.
Then I think.... buy you some weight watchers ice cream. I stand there looking at them and think why not try something new. There was Skinny Cow ice cream, now I have heard many people say oh it's so good. The ice cream was only 2 points, same as weight watcher brand so I put in the buggy. It was a little pricey, but so is weight watcher ice cream. I have had the weight watchers ice cream and I will say it's good, especially the cookies and cream bar. However, I think that I have found my favorite.

It was wonderful, tell you the truth I could have had another one. Let's just say I didn't though. I was a good girl.

My husband Brad has been sick off and on for going on about two years now. In the mornings he will wake up with a headache, dizzy, sick to his stomach and just feel like crap. Last year we went to a family physician and he requested Brad get a MRI, it showed nothing. After much testing he came to the conclusion that it was a type of migraine and gave him medicine. Well with no luck did this help and he stopped taking the medicine. At each dental apt they noticed how much Brad's gums would bleed and he put Brad on a special toothpaste which in the end it has not helped him at all. The last time he was at the dentist they told him he really thought that he should go back to the doctor and request they check his sugar. At the time I was still pregnant with Chandler and so he told them once I have him he would follow up. I made a mental note of that and Brad kept his word and followed up. Today he had his glucose tolerance test done, I went with him and sat the three boring hours and in the end we got a answer. Brad is Hypoglycemic (Low Blood Sugar). Thank you Lord for giving us an answer. I really did not want this to be the answer, but I am glad we have a answer to what is wrong with him. It is so hard to watch him get up just about every morning sick and not know what was causing it. He never complains he goes on to work, to provide for his family. I know that there have been many times that he just wanted to stay in the bed, but could not. Brad is my best friend and husband and I thank the Lord that he gave him to me. I don't know what I would do with out him. Brad I Thank You for being such a wonderful husband and wonderful father to our two little boys. I am glad that we can now work on getting your diet fixed so that you will feel better. I love you with all my heart. Your Cin-Cin

Thank You Jen

God gave me one of the best gifts he could ever gave me when he brought my good friend Jen and I together some 13-14 years ago in homeroom and history class our freshman year in high school. You know after we graduated we lost touch and some how to this day I can't remember how we got back in touch with each other, but here we are. Even miles apart with her in FL and I in NC we still able to keep in touch. Now she is back in NC and living in the same town. Jen is close as a sister to me, closest thing I will ever have to a sister. I feel that I can tell her anything and she is always there when I need her.
Her husband and mine have become good friends. Good thing they did because they would have just had to have dealt with it. ;)
Jen keeps our new baby boy Chandler and on a day like today (Veteran's Day) my oldest Devon staid with her. Devon and Jen's girls have become such good friends. Devon was a only child for 9 years so he has never had anyone to really play with so anytime he has them to play with he enjoys it so much. I just want her to know that she is a gift from God to me and I want to thank her for everything that she has done for us. Especially helping out with the boys. It really means a lot to me to know they are in wonderful hands. I will never be able to repay you enough for taking care of them and showing them love.

Weight Watchers Here We Come!

Today is the day! I am starting my third time with weight watchers today. I have had success the past two times and I know it works. My best bud Jen and I have decided that we need to loose weight for good and I know that we can do it together. We will keep each other motivated and get this weight off. I gained my weight with Chandler and decided he is now three months old and time to start working on getting it off. I did not gain it over night and I know I can't loose it over night. I know it will take will power and hard work but I can and will do it. Please stay tuned to watch the progress as I plan to blog each week to let you know the progress.

Before 11/6/2008 ... 202.4 lbs

The Election

The Election is over, which I am glad. I will say that I am not happy with how the election ended. They keep saying that everyone who voted for Obama wanted a "CHANGE" and that everyone is worried about the economy. I am here to say that this kind of "CHANGE" that we are fixing to get may not be the kind of "CHANGE" we want. When I voted this election, I thought about what was morally right and what God would want me to do. On the news they talk about how everyone was so worried about the economy that they put their moral beliefs to the side. WHAT?
I could not believe that, how can this country come to this? I have a quote on my email that Ronald Reagan said...

'If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.'

I truly believe this country has not seen the worst with the economy and that soon we will be a nation gone under. I do think that it's because we have turned our backs on God! This country needs to repent and look to God for guidance. As Obama is the new leader in this country he should step forth and guide our country back to the hands of God. I don't think that we will ever see this happen though.

All that I can do is pray that God will guide Obama and the rest of this country to turn to him. I pray for all the lost soles that are more worried about the economy and want a "CHANGE"that they think Obama can give them. Don't look to Obama for guidance, look to God!

What we need in this country is GOD!

Halloween

Halloween was wonderful this year! The kids got lots of candy, even Chandler who is only 3 moths old. More for Devon and us to share. ;) As Devon is getting older I know that there will be a time when he will stop wanting to go and it will be just little Chandler wanting to go.
I say that I will enjoy taking Devon while I can.
