Growing Up

When I was little I remember all the adults around me say "enjoy the moment now, when you get my age time will pass you by."

Oh how true this really is, but you know to me there is much more to this story than life just passing me by. I wish I would have been set down and told how hard getting older can be. I am not talking about the bills and other responsibilities that come along with being an adult. I am talking about the fact that I don't remember anyone talking about how we will watch the ones that we love slowly get older and we will watch those around us die. I told my friend the other day, it's not the bills I have to pay or going to work that I dislike the most about getting older. It's the fact that I hate watching those we love getting sick or just older and then dying. It's hard, very hard and why I never put these things together as a child I will never know.

This past week I had one of these adult moments. My husband had back surgery. I have been home playing nurse and watching someone I love be in pain, weak and sick in general. I wish that I could take this from him, but I know it is a part of life and the healing process. I pray that God will heal him fast and help him through this rough patch in his life.

I can honestly say it is hard being an adult and I want to make sure as my boys become teens and into adulthood they understand the changes that will take place and how hard being an adult is really going to be.

Childrens Hospital: The Complete Third Season on DVD

At Childrens Hospital, it’s safe to say that the doctors such as Owen and Ritchie act like children. As a parent I always want to set a good example and act like the responsible adult and make sure my kids see me that way. However, my husband is the biggest kid ever! Especially when it comes to our two boys, he is always on their level having a ball with them. I honestly need to learn how to let my hair down and relax with him, and act like the children every now and again.  Do you ever act like children now that you are an adult?

Childrens Hospital: The Complete Third Season on DVD

At Childrens Hospital, doctors obviously don’t work on Saturdays! As you can imagine, this can leave the doctors and patients alike in some pretty sticky situations. Unlike the doctors on Childrens Hospital I was raised to know how important it is to go to work. Without work, I would not be able to provide for my family. I have heard many different stories as to why someone didn't come in to work, but none that are outstanding, just the normal sick excusies. The doctors on Children's Hospital have no problem what so ever lying or making up a funny story as to why not to go into work.

Step Back

Over this summer so many tragic accidents have happened here in my town. It's a small college town and when things happen here everyone is in shock. I have stepped away from my blog thinking to focus more on myself and family over the end of the spring and summer.  Now it is that time again, school is starting and the boys have grown so much over summer. As I have stepped back and looked at my life I am very proud of myself.  I have come a very long way and I could not have done it without God's help.  I want to never take anyone or moment in my life for granted. I have seen this summer that lives can change in a heartbeat and I always want to live life to the fullest.

My first goal I am setting is to get back into blogging and move my blog to a webpage. Please stay tuned for the new Cin's Out Numbered and Loving It!
