Today I have official worked at my job for 7 years. It's so hard to believe, it seems like just yesterday I started over at the Financial Aid Office at Appalachian State University. I can even remember the pant suit I had went and bought at JcPenny because I wanted to job so bad. It was a way for me to get my foot into a NC state job. I kept thinking about how much I had spent on that pant suit in hopes that it would pay off. I remember driving the day or two before to make sure I knew were the building was and where I could park for the interview. I remember the walk into the building, meeting the assistant director going into her office, and then her proceeding to tell me that I would meet the rest of the office and have the interview. That will be fine, I say...
Little did I know, I was going to have an interview with the whole office! :-o
The office consisted of about 17 people at that time.
I will never forget my heart dropping to my feet. I thought that I was going to die!
In the end I got the job, the interview must have went smoother than what I thought it had. ;-)
I worked in that office for a little over 5 1/2 years and then was able to move to a better job that I love down at the Physical Plant.
Now don't get me wrong, if I was to win the lottery, I would love to be able to stay home with the boys. Or if I could afford to start my own business, then maybe I could do it. For now though, I like my job and will be keeping it until something major happens as listed above or they kick me out. LOL

Hi and welcome to MBC!
You sound just like me. I totally remember my first interview as well at Paxar. I'm so happy for you being at the Physical Plant :). You go girl... 7 years is a great job!
17 people interviewed you???? Talk about nerve wracking.
